Lucifer Not Our Parent

Now, what about Lucifer? Does he not wield authority over us? Is he not our parent too? No, do not be deceived: God did not give him any blanket authority or power over us.
Lucifer used to be the chief archangel, vice regent to God, second highest authority in all creation in pre-Adamic times. But he lost his authority when he launched a rebellion against God and failed.
12 You were a model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone adorned you: ruby, topaz and emerald, chrysolite, onyx and jasper, sapphire, turquoise and beryl. Your settings and mountings were made of gold; on the day you were created they were prepared. 14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you. You were on the holy mount of God; you walked among the fiery stones. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created till wickedness was found in you. EZEKIEL 28
Lucifer was longing to wield authority when he took notice of our first parents. They were given dominion (authority and power) over God’s works, crowned with glory and honor (Psalm 8:5-6).
28 God blessed them and said to them, “Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” GENESIS 1
Technically Lucifer was put under their dominion, but the crafty demon was able to reverse the situation in his favor. Fortunately, God cares for us. He took our dominion back. Now the water-baptized could act for and on behalf of God again. To those who have stopped sinning, Lucifer’s projection of authority and power is all illusion, a deception. He is no different to a toothless dog; all he can do is growl. He may sift them only if permitted by God (Luke 22:31). Lucifer may exercise authority and power only over the sinful.
Be Wise
Our first parents defied parental authority and today we continue to reel from its sorry consequences.
24 The schemes of folly are sin. PROVERBS 24
Folly is the brothel for the disobedient.
21 Folly delights a man who lacks judgment. PROVERBS 15
16 “Let all who are simple come in here!” folly says to those who lack judgment. 17 “Stolen water is sweet; food eaten in secret is delicious!” 18 But little do they know that all the dead are there, that her guests are in the depths of the grave. PROVERBS 9
Wisdom is the solution to folly.
18 My son, from your earliest youth choose instruction, and till your hair is white you will keep finding wisdom. 19 Cultivate her like the ploughman and the sower, and wait for her harvest. ECCLESIASTICUS 6
27 If you desire wisdom, keep the commandments and the Lord will convey her to you. ECCLESIASTICUS 1
8 Let the earth open wide, let salvation spring up, let righteousness grow with it. I, the Lord, have created it. ISAIAH 45
