Honor Your Parents at Home

Honor your parents at home no matter if they are your biological or surrogate parents. In the Philippines we are blessed because they take care of us and our children and our children’s children.
1 Children, listen to me your father, do what I tell you, and so be safe; 2 for the Lord honours the father in his children, and upholds the rights of a mother over her sons. 3 Whoever respects his father is atoning for his sins, 4 he who honours his mother is like someone massing a fortune. 5 Whoever respects his father will be happy with children of his own, he shall be heard on the day he prays. 6 Long life comes to him who honours his father, he who sets his mother at ease is showing obedience to the Lord. ECCLESIASTICUS 3
You Chose Your Family
In this modern age it is common to hear of protestations like “But I did not choose to be born!” or “You cannot choose your family” or “We don’t choose the circumstances of our birth and upbringing.” This kind of protestation is nothing but a cop out.
Before your incarnation, you were a living soul (Genesis 2:7 kjv). It was your soul’s decision to be born at this era, to this part of the continent, to your family, to your parents... It was your soul’s decision to be born to a nation of crooks, liars, politicians, lazy bones, beggars, drug-addicts, prostitutes, home-breakers, and violent men. Perhaps so that God’s purpose and work might be displayed in your life or so that the Most Holy Name might be exalted, or so that you might help transform your part of the world.
Your soul was making decisions before it was clothed with garment of flesh. John 9 speaks of a man born blind (tradition says his name is Maximin). His disciples asked Y’shua whether the blindness was a consequent of a decision (a sin) that Maximin had made before his birth.
2 His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Y’shua, “but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.” JOHN 9
Man is his soul and his soul is man. The circumstances that ordain every man’s birth, upbringing and future were predetermined. The Creator provided guidance and did the arrangements (Psalm 139:13-16), but the ultimate decisions came from the man’s soul—of its own volition.
Why are babies of the same parents born with different characters? That is because the babies’ souls had made pre-incarnation decisions that brought them to different situations. They had different learning experiences that molded their individual characters.
< There are case testimonies of persons recalling their pre-incarnation days. Unfortunately for most of us, just as we tend to forget incidents that happened a year or two ago, so the more we forget incidents that happened before birth. Nothing is totally forgotten though. Psychologists say our subconscious minds keep a record of everything that our souls have experienced and witnessed. The record can be accessed and researched via hypnotic regression.>
We should take full responsibility for the decisions of our souls before birth. Cop outs are inexcusable.
10 Woe [curse] to him who says to his father, “What have you begotten?” or who says to his mother, “What have you brought to birth?” ISAIAH 45
