Know God

Do your best to understand what is being said here, please. It is to your own personal benefit.
Commandment No. 1 requires us to study, evaluate and identify the God we must love. Unfortunately much as we want to discuss the matter extensively, this book has limited space; it cannot accommodate all the proofs that make evident why Y’shua is God. Besides, we better not discuss the matter extensively here because spoon-feeding you all the way might not be good for your spiritual growth.
Take the initiative of knowing God on your own. Read the Scripture and meditate on it. You are welcome to come and seek our help on passages you cannot understand. Better still, pray that the Holy Spirit may flash to you inspirations and understanding as you read and meditate, because He would if you do.[1]
Knowing the God we must love will shield us from being carried away by any false claim. Understanding why Y’shua is God will help us stand firm in our faith and explain its basis to our neighbor.
24 Unless you believe that I am who I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins. JOHN 8 nlt
Revere Not the Impostor
What then is Lucifer to men? He pretends to be God but he is not. Y’shua started and ended His ministry by triumphing over him. The logic is simple. Because Lucifer can be neutralized, then he is not God, for no one can neutralize God.
Instead of worshiping him as God or being friendly with him, treat him as an enemy, for that is how he is treating each and every one of us. His love for us is nothing but contempt and manipulation. Check again what happened to our first parents after they had put their trust in him. It would be most foolish for anyone to trust Lucifer. If ever he befriends us, his purpose is to destroy us, to spite God.
10the thief comes only to steal and to kill and to destroy. JOHN 10
On the Day of Judgment those ensnared by him would be “staggering toward slaughter” (Proverbs 24:11). Calling it Second Death is a misnomer for the souls in it would not die. Their “covenant with death” would be “annulled”; their agreement with the grave would not stand (Isaiah 28:18). They would want to end it all but could not. Theirs would be continual torment, with Lucifer and his demons for pesky company, a situation worse than death.
Choose Life
It would be most wise to put our faith in Y’shua. Let us enumerate eight reasons why: Y’shua died on the cross to redeem us from sin; Lucifer is the cause of sin. The objective of Y’shua is to save us from the Second Death before the Judgment comes; the objective of Lucifer is to bring us to it. Y’shua is full of love, compassion, mercy and gentleness for the humankind; Lucifer is full of hatred, contempt and violence for it. Y’shua is most generous; Lucifer is most selfish. Y’shua is leading men toward prosperity, inner peace and joy; Lucifer is leading them away. Y’shua uses the truth in leading men; Lucifer uses lies and deceptions. Y’shua wins all His battles; Lucifer lost all his battles with Y’shua. On the Day of Judgment Y’shua (the Word of God) will be the Judge; Lucifer will be judged.
In Y’shua is our restoration... fullness, not hunger or thirst... health, not sickness... life, not death...
25 I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies; 26 and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this? JOHN 11
25 Thomas said, “Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe it.” 26 A week later His disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Y’shua came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see My hands. Reach out your hand and put it on My side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28 Thomas said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Then Y’shua told him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” JOHN 20

[1] Justin Martyr’s Paralipomenea attributed a saying to Y’shua: “No man knows the Father but the Son [of God], not the Son [of the Man] but the Father, and they to whom the Son reveals Himself.” (Wikipedia)
