Imitate God the Spouse

5 Your Maker is your Husband—the Lord Almighty is His name—the Holy One of Isra’el is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth. ISAIAH 54
What kind of husband was God?
The kind who did not sit and wait for His unfaithful bride to return. He was the God of gods and King of kings yet in a humble and gentle manner, He left His throne and went to where Isra’el was—not to release any pent-up grudge or anger but to extend His grace of compassion to her. In her moment of weakness He came to empower her. She stumbled and fell so He was quick to lend His Hand, to help her rise. In her poverty and want, He came to offer superabundance. In her misdirection, He pointed the way. He died at the cross that she might live.
39 I have come into this world so that the blind will see. JOHN 9
25 I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live. JOHN 5
All we, like sheep, have gone astray (Isaiah 53:6). God is calling us to be part of His Bride-to-be. What if we dump Lucifer? What if we abide by love and faithfulness?
10 I tell you, there [will be] rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God. LUKE 15
5 As a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you. ISAIAH 62
The scenario would be similar to the return of the prodigal son to his loving father.
21 The son said to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.” 22 But the father said to his servants, “Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.” So they began to celebrate. LUKE 15
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 JOHN 1
36 If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. JOHN 8
The Bridegroom has been enduring our infidelities, meekly receiving the blows, still hoping that we all would wash our robes. He deserves a break.
10 My unfailing love for you will not be shaken… says the Lord, who has compassion on you. ISAIAH 54
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord and He will have mercy on him, and to our God, for He will freely pardon. ISAIAH 55
14 Return, faithless people, declares the Lord, for I am your Husband. JEREMIAH 3
